Our Team

Every member of our team is passionate about our mission to develop holistic, healthy, and confident young performers

All of our teachers are qualified, well trained and attend regular refresher courses.

We take the well-being and safety of our students very seriously, so you can rest assured that all of our staff are police-checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service, as well as being trained in safeguarding and child protection.

We’re privileged to have regular visiting instructors who are well established and known in the industry. This includes teachers, choreographers and performers who are affiliated with major vocational schools and West End productions.

Caroline Bell

Caroline Bell

Pearl Shaw flows through Caroline’s blood - quite literally, as the daughter of its founder and now the manager of the school.

After attending Pearl Shaw right through from the ages of two to sixteen, Caroline went on to train at the prestigious Hammond School in Chester. There she earned Distinctions in Teaching from both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the Royal Academy of Dance.

Caroline’s own expansive stage history includes being a cast member in 42nd Street at Drury Lane in London. This experience still motivates her today to help her pupils to be the very best that they can be.

After taking over Pearl Shaw full time in 1990, Caroline has worked hard to develop the curriculum, add new subjects, and expand the scope of what the school can offer. She has done an amazing job developing the school, while still retaining the family environment that sets Peal Shaw apart.

Louise Perrin

Through training at the Hammond School in Chester, Louise gained teaching qualifications from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in both Modern and Ballet, and a further qualification in Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance.

Louise then went on to train and perform with the London Contemporary School. Her extensive training and experience makes her a wonderful asset to the Pearl Shaw students.

Since her own journey with Pearl Shaw up until the age of sixteen, Louise has developed into a remarkable teacher, and a great role model within the school. She now teaches Ballet and Lyrical to our talented pupils and, as Wardrobe Supervisor, has brought a beautiful sensibility and excellence to Pearl Shaw’s performances.

Ellie Perrin-Davies

Ellie has been part of the Pearl Shaw family since the age of five, has taught with us since 2010, and brings with her a fabulous wealth of experience and expertise.

A qualified acrobatic arts and drama teacher, Ellie is currently taking advanced training with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

Ellie is no stranger to the stage, having starred in prestigious roles such as Cinderella and Pirate Kate and performed in pantomimes her whole life. She has also choreographed professionally for well-known performances such as Jack and the Beanstalk, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.

Ellie is a fantastic hands-on teacher, is trained in both first aid and CPR, and has a plethora of experience. This makes her an invaluable part of our team!
